Whoever tricked me into thinking it was cold year-round here got me good. My apartment is currently 95 degrees and it seems as if the city turned into a ghost town. People hunkering up, waiting out this heat wave in theaters or malls. It's finally hot enough to casually swim in Lake Michigan even. That is, if you can muster up enough energy and will to brave the heat to get there. Even my computer is feeling lethargic these days, not wanting to work because it is just too hot. A man told me the other day that he puts his clothes in the freezer to keep him cool. The heat makes you do crazy things and I just might start keeping my clean clothes in the freezer.
